They create cars with the shittiest quality possible and charge like mofos. Their cars are a pile of joke. Their cars have horrible build quality with a lot of quality issues or inconsistency. Their interiors look so dull and it's all shitty black plastic everywhere. Gets recalled every month. Their cars are considered pleb tier and no body wants their frickin badge on any of their cars, because that's why the Bolt isn't selling well. Their "Luxury division" are just shitty in quality and overly priced, I'm talking about the Escalade which is a chormed up shittily built $45,000 Tahoe. Their other cars are horrible and don't even deserve to be competed with any well established German or Japanese brands. Hell the Koreans do better than them. Why are they still in business? Why are they so shitty? They have a horrible managing department who does the dumbest things of all.

This is my view or opinion on Chevrolet. What justification can you bring up to prove my view wrong?

My dad bought a 2016 Shitvrolet Silverado and right as it reached 6,000 miles, we had this issue where the truck would shake and vibrate at certain speeds, like around 30 MPH and up for us. We issued a report to GM but we haven't gotten a response yet after 7 months. We also took it back to the dealership where we had a mechanic check it out. Unfortunately, there was no remedy to fix this problem.

GM said they would take action in these types of problems, but apparently it's all words no action.
>>
>>17831395
Maybe if your dad wasn't a fucking retarded cuck
My shitverado has 175k mileage and runs fine

nibba, my pops isn't the only person that had this problem. There's like hundreds upon hundreds of customers who's trucks and SUVs have the "Chevy Shake" problem. The damn thing is practically brand new and it already rides like a fucking hooptie at 6,000 miles.

>>

I posted it in another thread
>They ruined GM
>They're SJWs

And we still bailed them out, because the economy is such a shit state that if so many people lost their jobs now they wouldn't all be able to be hired elsewhere.
>>
>>17830000
Their still in business because local American businesses and the government does whatever they can to help them out (and Ford/Chrysler also). They probably wouldn't exist or most likely be half of their size if Obongo didn't bail them out. GM and Ford run their vehicles at really competing prices. 13k for a spark, 16-17k for a Cruze, 21k for a Malibu, Colorado at 20k, Silverado at 27k. My company had a discount program for its employees where I could go in and get a Ford Fiesta for around 10k or a Cruze around 12k. Even then I said fuck that and bought a new Toyota. For most people, 13k for a shitty Fiesta is more affordable than a Corolla/Camry/Civic and people would rather get the Fiesta because they're either retarded or just don't want to pay anymore than that price, of course there's more incentives within Ford/Chevy anyways.

Also, FCA is worse.
>>
>>17831566
10k for a brand new Fiesta. Man these companies are truly sucking our money off.

Not really. Do you think Lexus paid a lot to JD to be in the top of their chart? No.

Look at their charts from 2000 to 2016. KIA in 2000 was in the bottom. Now, it is in the middle-top. They are getting improved every years. German manufacturers did the same thing.

GM has really great engineers. I think they get betrayed by the bean counters, designers, and quality control people.

GM was the first to put out an affordable 200+ mile range EV. Yet the Bolt is unnoticed in the EV market. The LEAF still sells more, and people will retweet anything Elon says and then hand him a $1000 interest free loan.
>>
>>17832362
The SS was imported from Australia and would've been too expensive to make it competitive with normie sedans. The SS was already over priced.

I wholeheartedly disagree with you on that
>>
>>17832391
Every truck from every manufacturer is shitty in different ways.

People walk into a GM dealership knowing they might get the chevy shakes.
They walk into a Dodge dealership knowing their balljoints will constantly be breaking
People walk into a Toyota dealership expecting a frame replacement and a less equipped truck for $10k more
Etc. No truck is perfect.
>>
>>17832510
what the fuck is wrong with those wipers lmao
>>
>>17832536
They fucking broke
>>
>>17832512
An unexplainable problem with no cure doesn't exactly fall under the same category as a wear item and a frame that can't handle corrosion. At least Toyota will replace frames, unlike the big 3. I probably see extreme examples living in the rust belt but it's always the same generations rotting in the same place.
>Ie; Ford Rangers frames rot away near the spare tire
>ie; Prebailout Chebbys rot at the frame directly between the cab and box

On top of that, GM is either keeping it hush hush or refusing to do anything about it. If you read about the Chevy shake entire drivetrain changes along with new tires hasn't cured the issue. People are having their shocks changed to dampen the problem, not cure it.

We could also look at the Takata airbag issue. A rival company pointed the issue out to GM in the early 2000s IIRC. To save a few sheckles, GM did their best to keep moisture out of the area.

We could also move onto early Dexcool applications. They did nothing about it except fight numerous class action lawsuits.

GM is a garbage company. They're completely dishonest and refuse to take action for their own mistakes.
>GM is currently fighting old GM because "not responsible for prebailout GM"

I get frustrated in the winter time when snow packs to the inner wheel and causes a slight vibration. I couldn't imagine buying a brand new truck that develops a strong vibration within 20k miles.

>>17832536
>>17832545
I'd understand if you lived somewhere with snow and you tried using the wipers to push it off, but that's the cleanest Chebby I've looked at in awhile.

Wait until the intermittent wipers start working intermittently. That's always fun. Both my S10 and 1500 experienced that. Never fixed it, but God was it frustrating.

I like to say the devil you know is better then the devil you dont. Im forced to admit my favorite brand has made a poor showing in the enthusiast car market. But in the truck market the Chevy and GMC products have delivered exceptional value in the past 25 years. The proof to this is that I own 7 GMC or Chevy trucks today. After having owned 20+ in the last 25 years. I continue to shop all brands but the Chevrolet product continues to offer the best value for my needs.

That being said my daily drivers or fun to drive cars have all been European or Japanese meeting all the common Memes. Even with some dank Lulzs with the rotarys.

But why invest R&D into that when they've essentially made the Camaro their Swiss Army Knife of a car as far as filling multiple market segments. the price of a V6 Camaro puts it nicely in the slot of a Focus RS which cost the same. the question I've always been asking is why doesn't Ford have a sports car to pit against the Vette. something with a starting price of 50k with a topping price of 100k with a Coyote and Voodoo engine options. would be much welcomed.

I leased a Chevy cruze for $135 a month for 2 years. It wasn't a bad car. It certainly wasn't good car either.

For whatever reason their leases are insanely low if you have good credit
>>

>Those engines are usually quite similar
So are they here.
>4 banger Camaro for less powerful cars
>V6 for more powerful cars
>how many V6s don't outclass the smaller engines?
The ones making less power? if they all make similar power what the fuck does cylinder-count matter? the NSX never outclassed the EVO and they were definitely compared despite being V6 vs 4banger and at wildly different prices.
>>
>>17834973
And the people comparing the NSX and the Evo are equally retarded as you. You might as well talk about how great the ecobost mustang is, since it's clearly in the same class as the rest of the cars mentioned, but better. It's no-brainer compared to the focus st.
>>
>>17834990
>And the people
By "people" you mean Best Motoring?
>You might as well talk about how great the ecobost mustang
The mustang has waay more power. its also way more expensive. what kind of analogy is that?

If it was really so, then yes. I'm not a weeb. I have no issue with pointing out faults of the Japanese.
>what kind of analogy is that
A very similar one to yours. If your going to compare a V6 to I4s, you might as well throw other V6s into the mix.
>>
>>17834745
Get a V8 Mustang if it has to be Amerifat
>>
>>17835030
>If your going to compare a V6 to I4s
But i just said time after time that the I4 Camaro exist for comparison to less powerful cars. lets say a NA V6 is making 300 HP and a Turbo I4 is making 300 HP. is it fair?
>>
>>17835041
>is it fair
That depends. Is GM making an I4 turbo that delivers 300HP stock on a FWD Camaro?
>>
>>17835051
What if I get a awd Doge Challenger?
>>
>>17835051
Should the drive-train layout and cylinder-count matter?
>>
>>17835058
>drive-train layout
Yes
>cylinder count
Yes, when you're talking 300HP

>>17835056
What are you trying to compare it to?
>>
>>17835041
Dude. A 300hp Ti4 is infinitely worse than a 300hp v6 no matter how you look at it, go look up torque curves and report back
>>
>>17835073
>>drive-train layout
>Yes
Why? AWD in most cases will have the advantage over 2WD but what about FWD vs RWD? does it really make a difference in low HP cars?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiKWUL4iEGQ
This would be an AWD STI vs a 2(F)WD Civic.
>>17835073
>>17835081
So then if we're taking out the V6 for the reason of torque what about the I4 then?
>>
>>17835093
>So then if we're taking out the V6 for the reason of torque what about the I4 then
legit have no idea what you are asking for.
v8>v6>i4
>>
>>17835093
FWD is going to oversteer while RWD will take comers like a champ. The only place FWD has the advantage is city cornering, not track corners.
>>
>>17835093
>what about the i4 then?
Well, what about it? You're le GM defener, you're supposed to figure that out.

What about Pic related? the FWD car in this case gives more confidence while driving. (also turbo 4 banger vs NA straight six)

Dodge Neon is a godmachine, bimmers by nature of being German, cannot be.

At least you finally found cars ***remotely*** similar to compare
>>
>>17835113
why man.
>>17835123
I was trying to show that FWD can have its advantages in the low HP areas and isn't just all negatives against RWD.
>>
>>17834923
That's not reliable power if it never makes it to the wheels. Those transmissions mated to the 38 are beyond shit

the ecotec is their best engine and the v6 buick use is Australian.
>>
>>17832164
you have to buy a buick for that but its an old people brand so it will be weighted down by insulation.
>>
>>17830000
there's a push towards improving the brand. Across the board, american manufacturing died due to protectionist economic practices in the 50's through the 80's, and once the boomers reached their middle age they wouldn't be caught dead in anything but a german luxury car or the like. Chevy suffered financially and quality wise. Now, they're actually making a decent show of coming back, as is ford.

(Might be biased because I'm interviewing for an engineering job at GM...)

Ive currently got the "intermittent" intermittent wiper problem.
Its also taken out my washing fluid pump.
For some reason pulling the windshield motor fuse and putting it back sometimes fixes it for me but after a while itll break again.
