9 and 3 is the safest option for a turn in either direction. You can quickly shift without bumping the gearstick or knees, and your steering won't be limited by a poor range of motion, and it's easy to quickly return your hands to position after shifting too.

It's a lazy, retarded way of driving. Exercise more if your shoulders are so weak they can't support the weight of a quarter of an arm (as you rest your arms weight on the steering wheel)

9-2 is objectively the best grip you can do. You have your left hand at the centre point for optimum balance, and your dominant hand is able to wrap around the wheel entirely resulting in an iron grip. There's nothing better.

Also, the rozzer-shuffle meme is actually true. It's easily the smoothest, safest and often fastest way you can steer a car.

Have to make sure to be all zen when doing it too, like I said, if you panic and you're gripping the wheel tightly, you'll just shrek yourself.
