I'm looking to purchase either a 4runner or xterra and would like you guy's input/opinion. I got a couple questions for ya'll:

Why the huge price difference? Xterras are almost half the price of 4runners and 6-8 year newer.

Which is the most reliable? Which has the better aftermarket support? Which is the easiest to work on?

All my research suggests 4runners are the winner in these questions but I would like input from xterra owners.


>What will you be using it for?
I just moved to the mountains for work, and I'd like to drive on some of the more neglected Forest Service roads without getting stuck on waterbars or ruts (again). Snow should be falling around October so I need to prepare for that too, mostly since I'd like to go on some snow parks.
