I have already tried a permatex rearview mirror adhesive kit which is a silicon, I let it sit over night and then reattached the mirror onto the circular mount. Im thinking it that either the kit is trash, or that the frit where the mirror is supposed to be mounted got in the way. The frit is those little bllack dots and the band that goes around the windshield. For some reason this particular windshield has it going down the middle from the top as well. I looked it up and it says it is a porcelain or ceramic based paint, so I am now trying JB weld Clearweld epoxy because it says it is designed for metal and ceramic. If that doesnt work, well I am running out of ideas.
Also I should note that the mirror probably fell off in the first place because of the high heat in my area. I think that it got to 112 F that day and the surface was probably enough to weaken the original adhesive enough for the mirror to all. That is why I decide to use the JB weld epoxy, because it 4400 psi and a max temp of 300 F.
did you clean the surface at all? Also scuff the frit a little bit to promote better adhesion.

Walmart sells a piece of adhesive designed literally just for this. It's usually around the jb weld and stuff

Yes, and it's shit.
Ask your mechanic to use their specialist adhesives to stick it back on.
Also, your windscreen is NOT 'metal or ceramic'. It is plastic.

>Any ideas on how I should reattach a rear view mirror?
You aren't cleaning it properly.
And if you had bothered to write about how you are doing it step by step, every step should have the word "clean" in it.
>I ate a pizza with bare hands and then installed it without washing.
>I wiped the windshield with residue type window cleaners.
>I wiped the windshield with microfiber cloth that had been used to clean other things before.
>I wiped the windshield with clean new microfiber cloth which was cross-contaminated by my greasy oily sweaty hands.
>I wash my hands with lotion type hand soap with leaves a nice moisturizer (oil) on my hands.
There are other ways to make it fail.
