I'm going to be graduating school soon and hopefully getting a not-shit job, and I already have a daily driver from high school that I don't intend to get rid of. I really like the look of the 1st gen celicas and, if it isn't completely FUCKED by rust, want to find one to turn into a restomod project car.
Funny enough I was literally just looking at one on Craigslist for sub 2500. Apparently it needs a fuel pump only. These things look really cool though that's for sure.
The front ends kind of remind me of a ranchero 500, and the tail lights of a '70s mustang
Most of them would be rusted to fuck by now and long since junkyarded. Probably aren't more than a few thousand in the whole country at this point that are driveable. Probably would have to look at CA or the Southwest where they wouldn't have turned into a pile a rust.

Can confirm. I'm the dude who replied earlier. I'm in SoCal and there's one here close by me.

Expect to pay a high premium over on the East coast for one that isn't a pile of shit. Just wait around dude, the pop up out of nowhere on craigslist. I've seen at least 3 decently priced ones come around my area in the last 6 months.

You don't. They're all mine faggot. Unless you want the coupe then we're cool. I check CL every day for one that isn't rusty/auto/thrashed inside.

Which one is that? Here's a pic of one I was thinking of picking up. Probably best I didn't.

Jesus. So that's where they go when owners upgrade.
