Let me start by saying I absolutely did read the sticky and I've taken that into consideration, however I know there's more options.
Requirements:
>no V8s (sorry, i need fuel efficiency, I already have a v8)
>must have a decent aftermarket
>manual
>not slow as shit stock
>no more than $2k
RWD is preferred, but not required.
I want something fast that I can build and make faster. Suggestions?
Okay, also i forgot, no bikes. I love motorcycles but that's just not what I need at the moment.
How cheaply can one (safely) turbo a civic/integra/accord, and what kind of power gains could be expected from it? I know nothing of imports, really.
Is 200k high mileage for an early 90's integra? What are other good choices?
Come on, /o/, don't condemn me to be a honda guy. I know there's other options available im missing.
V8s are even allowed now as long as they're not American.
Let me further clarify my predicament.
I'm the formerly proud owner of a '93 Dodge Dakota LE 4x4 with a 5.2L. The thing took a shit on me. I think it might be a plugged up converter, because I've neglected it for awhile and it was running pretty rich. Plus I drove it around for a month or two at least with a fucked up diff. It's a minimum of 6k miles overdue for an oil change. There's a lot more wrong with it, moral of the story is ive beat the fucker to the ground and now I need a reliable daily while I unfuck it.
Anyways, my sister and her husband agreed to buy me a car that isn't too expensive, so long as I pay them back. She doesn't understand the joy of a V8, so I can't get some big American boat that'll look like it gets 10 mpg tops.
So I need a car that I can build and make quick, and fun to drive.
Help me out, /o/
