Rear Wheel Drive Vehicle
Currently equipped with an aged VLSD
Year round driven, dry, rain, snow
Assume correct tires for correct season.
Helical or Clutch type (1.5 way?) for daily driving, not drifting, with the goal of having maximum traction in all conditions.
The helical on a zero traction surface works as an open, which means i'll be stuck in snow\ice?
Thoughts?

Torsen

I have both.
With the torsen,, apply light braking and it will lock the diff. Common for crawlers off road.
I'd personally just go with the clutch pack though.
