These parts fell off the bottom of my car does any anon know what these parts are? It was spewing red liquid and now the car won't go forward or back
Also do I have to replace the whole tranny or just these parts?

I'll bite
The red fluid is indicative of a leak in your transmission, don't drive your car any more until you get it fixed or you'll burn your clutches

Really? Ok well what do I need to fix anon? The whole tran or only this part?
>>17812409
It depends on how long you drove the car without fluid, if you didn't drive any distance low on fluid you should be good
Pic related is the part i think fell out
The transmission will not operate because there's no fluid in it. Replace that part, fill with new fluid and it should be fine. Automatic transmissions cannot engage gears without fluid so you will not be going anywhere. Call a tow truck.

Either tow it to a trans shop or pay a trans shop tech to come and take a look at it, not too well versed with transmissions but i do know that the part that fell out is a servo piston that either actuates tightening bands to engage gears, or actuates clutch packs themselves to engage gears... i would bet it's the first one because i don't think you can actuate clutch packs directly from an outside mounted part
Either way it is certainly not something you can do at home, expect it to be a little pricey unfortunately
