What do you prioritize when buying cars, /o/?
>>
>>17804520
Fun and oddness.
>>
F-fuel consumption.
>>
>>17804520
reliability, simpleness, power, interior
>>
1. does it give me a stiffy when i think about it
2. can i afford it
>>
The way it looks
How fun it is is also important but I just cannot bear driving a car I don't like looking at
>>
>>17804520
That depends on what I buy it for.

As a DD I´d prefer
>fuel consumption
>cargo
>reliability
>low maintainance

As a fun car for twisties I´d prefer
>low weight
>good handling
>cheap tire sieze
>good aftermarket
>power
>convertable

So a rotary Miata and some kind of underpowered maybe diesel Wagon would be a nice combination.
>>
>>17804593
What's a DD?
>>
>>17804528
>>17804538

These two are right on the money.

1. Does it make me giggle like a schoolgirl?
2. Can it get me from Point A to Point B 95% of the time?
3. Do I have the cash to buy it?
>>
Styling, aftermarket availablity, and what kind of engines i can fit in it
>>
>>17804621
Dong Depressor
>>
Performance
>>
>>17804520
Is it different than what I had before?
Do I like the way it looks?
Are there better competitors in its price ranges?
>>
>>17804520
2 things:
Rear wheel drive cuz that's where the power's supposed to be
Manual transmission because I'm not an old man so I can shift my own gears and manuals are lighter weight than automatics which are soul crushing no fun transmissions
>>
>>17804657
hi daddy
>>
Performance with just enough comfort for daily commuting.

I get my wife a highway cruiser for long trips.
>>
>>17804520
I generally prioritize fun, personal choice in style, mechanical simplicity, and interior last. I put interior last but it's still in my top 4 important things I consider, because I'm not the sort of person who tinkers and fucks with the interior of my car.
>>
>>17804520
Turning radius, acceleration and aesthetics.
>>

>>
>>17804520
Before I bought my car: Is it rare?

After I bought my car: Are the parts common and are there a lot of aftermarket goodies I can get for it.
>>
If its light weight and fun to drive its for me (also cheap because im broke)
>>

>live in a goddamn desert
AC blowing cold
>>
>>17805331
What the fuck, where do you live?
>>
>>17805331
As a fellow desert dweller, I fully understand.
>>
>>17804520
No rust
Manual
Clean title

Las Vegas, Nevada. 110 Degree weather may not be much, but the humidity makes you want to fucking kill somebody. Getting in your car during the day might as well be stepping into hell itself
>>
>>17805506
>Las Vegas
>humidity
In a fucking desert? You wanna cry about humidity? Come back to the Mid-Atlantic, you'll then wish you were back in your desert shithole

Fuel
Price

Handling
Looks
Power
Aftermarket
>>
Cupholders per cylinder
>>
>can take a beating
>fun to drive (not necessarily fast)
>gas consumption (for a DD)
>stylish and unique
>comfy interior
>>
>>17805395
I've ignored all your rules except clean title

I can also be charismatic as fuck and make people worry that they'll never sell their car and usually haggle the price down over a $1000 dollars.
>>
>very very important
1 Quietness and comfort
2 Reliability
3 High speed stability (=chassis rigidity)
4 Fuel economy
>makes me quite happy if the car comes with
5 Good audio system
6 Manageable width (below 1820mm or something)
7 Ageless design
>doesn't matter much
8 Dynamic handling
9 Power
10 Amount of soft touch materials used on the dash
>>
>>17804520
Prioritized checklist for browsing:
1. Cost
2. Appearance
3. Reliability
Set your price range, find something you like, then do some research to see if it's a total shitbox. After that go drive one to see how you actually like it. Comfort is important.
>>
>>17805657
What production vehicle has the highest cupholders per liter rating
>>
>>17804520
Manual and RWD
>>
>high redline
I love high revving engines
>stands out just a little bit but not attention grabbing
>comfy seats
>visibility
>>
>>17804528
I like this response.
I like quirkiness in cars, even if it just means turning something mundane into something unique. More than anything though, I like shit that's fun. Whether it's fast as fuck or whether it's slow. Almost anything can be fun in some way. I'm into cars to just have fun with them and let them put a smile on my face, and that's all I care about outside my daily driver.
>>
>>17806692
Probably a Tesla
>>
>>17804520
1. Does it make my dick hard
2. Has it been wrapped around a tree before

FR, Manual

Those are my only real criteria. Obviously I'd try and get one that isn't trashed to fuck.
>>
>>17806692
my jeep has one cup holder per cylinder, but its a piece of shit, so i don't know if it counts
>>
>>17808040
RWD, Manual, Under 3000 pounds undressed, PS optional, AC preferred, some kind of radio, reliability.
>>
>>17804530
Looks.
Handling.
Moddability/aftermarket
Reliability
insurance cost
Fuel consumption
cargo

If I don't like the way it looks I wont like it, period. With that being said I can respect a lot of designs but many are just not appealing
>>
>>17804520
Reliability, fun and nice interior.

I ended up with a Mazda.

Arousal / Fun, manual gear box. Drove a Hyundai Coupe manual today and enjoyed it despite my lack of interest with it's outside appearance. Even started to enjoy it's odd body style by the end of the day.
>>
>>17804520

reliability, easiness to maintain (cost/parts availabilit, DIY potential), look, vision (fuck modern narrow windows), resale value.
>>
>>17809390
i was gonna get one of these with the 2.2L but someone bought it before i could even call the person
