They're pretty nice but their viggest problem is the community. At that price it's also worth considering LS1 f-bodies, S197 pre-facelift mustangs, MR2s, nice Miatas, nice S chassis cars, WRXs, the list goes on. It's morr about what you like than what goes fast, if you want maximum performance for 10k buy a minitruck to haul a shifter kart to the track.

Why not the 350Z? It's lighter and cheaper and is basically the exact same car otherwise

Problem with these is that any good one you find will be out of the 10k price range because of their cult following

I bought a 2005 Infiniti G35 coupe 6mt with 79k miles on Craigslist for $7500. Almost perfect condition inside and out. Previous owner was an engineer, so he didn't really fit the boy-racer crowd. I could say i got really lucky finding this. Just added an Mrev2 and a plenum spacer. Thing is a beast for how cheap it was.

The insurance on these things is simply too much for me to handle rn. Also, the build quality on 350z's are arguably much worse, and finding one that hasn't been ragged out is hard. I also couldn't really compromise by having only 2 seats because my G35 is my daily driver.

S197 mustangs make 300ish stock. Youre thinking of sn95s. S197s also don't have the fox platform's noodle chassis or fucked suspension.
