south eastern states only have about 3 days of fuel on hand. if the pipelines from Louisiana stop sending fuel.
a couple months ago a gasoline pipeline in Alabama kept blowing up. Which caused fuel shortages in Atlanta. So much so that we had to do special government orders to get more fuel tanker trucks to bring in more gasoline.

There are a lot of factors. Refineries along the Gulf Coast have shut down. About a third of refined products on the Gulf Coast stays in the region, another third supplies Southern states, and the final third is exported.
There is, however, a lot of gasoline in storage right now, but getting it out of storage to market might not be possible.
What might happen this week is the price of oil goes higher. When the crude prices rise, gas stations raise prices quickly to ensure they have enough money to buy more inventory. They do this because the profit margin on gasoline sales is incredibly low, about 2 percent to 3 percent.
When crude prices go down, gas stations tend to wait a week or two before lowering prices, again to make sure they have enough money to buy more inventory should the price rise.

All the gulf off shore pumping stopped over a week ago. So there will be a gap in crude supply too.
