Best car I can get for $10,000 max? Looking for a hatchback or small/mid suv. At least something within the last 10 or so years. Reliability is a big concern. Sedans are just too small for me.

Financing. I have a 2000 chevy tahoe limited, but it kinda turned into a lemon. Wasn't /o/ when I bought it, and there are just too many problems with it. I don't like it anymore, it would be easier to sell it then try and fix everything.
I just want something more reliable to drive, something that doesn't feel like it will fall apart on me. Also it is a little too big for my needs. That being said I like being seated higher up, but the tahoe is too long.

Alignment is fucked, I need a compressor, has a lot of cosmetic problems. A window got shattered when I first bought it. Doors get stuck sometimes, steering has always been really loose. Maybe not a lemon but it is old, and the age is showing.

But it's a tahoe. Parts are cheap and plentiful except for the a/c compressor. spend 1000 bucks fixing it up and keep driving it. It's tough and body on frame instead of a disposable crossover.

What is the point of dropping more money into a car I don't enjoy driving anymore?

Spend $2000 fixing it and buy a $3000 miata worn a limited miles policy. Boom, just saved you five grand.

$10k is a super low mileage mint 4runner money.

you don't enjoy driving it because the problems. If you fix the problems and have stress-free driving you'd enjoy it again.
Well ive had reoccuring problems with the brake lights going out. Have taken it in to be fixed probably 3 times now. Every time it was fixed and working, but only for about a month. Im not much of a car guy myself, nor do i really have the tools to do anything. Shit like this just makes me want to be done with it. Feels like there is no end.

Are you having a lil meltdown?
