I'm seeing the appeal of the WRX.
>simple interior
>simple controls
>simple engineering
>no gimmicks
>best modern car visibility
>best AWD system
>highly practical
>recaro seats (as of 2018)
>easy to drive fast
>high resale
>300HP w/tune
Aside from requiring a mandatory vape, what is the catch? Is it just insurance and cops?
>300 hp with tune
too young to afford the insurance.

Drive one and judge for yourself. They also don't look very good in my opinion. Too tall and fat

Almost zero modern cars look good, and I think this looks better than most trash today, even if it's not pretty. The scoop at least gives it some identity.

>Open differential
Why even bother?

Insurance can be a killer, and they aren't particularly cheap to tune or modify, also they're kind of heavy per hp

Compared to other brand new cars it's pretty good. A friend has a 2017, with a muffer delete it sounds better than 99% of 4 cylinder engines out there and it's plenty quick. A tune with no other aftermarket parts makes the car quite a bit better to drive but doesn't add a whole lot of power.

If I just put a tune on the car, it'd be more "stock" than literally 95% of WRX's on the used car market. And honestly, Subaru OEM tunes are fucking awful (see: BRZ torque dip) and cut timing constantly. There is a reason pretty much everyone tunes their WRX the same day they buy it.

lol replace the word "simple" with "cheap". Get a mk7 gti instead or save for a golf r.
