nope

then why is it in the category: ?
>for basic, reliable A to B transportation in small 4 door car
>>can be expensive to own if you don't wrench on it yourself
I am planning on doing this, but how much more are mercedes parts compared to say a ford (which I currently own) or a toyota?
The bits that keep it running are fine... mostly. Up until 1996 they had issues with wiring degrading, so thats something to look out for. Rust is always an issue, but mostly on non-vital parts like bodywork and doors. Looks like shit, but it wont kill it
Still; they're old. Anything from 17 to 24 years old, and have usually racked up some miles. Be prepared for rotted rubber & cracked seals

probably not too bad tbqh
problem would be labor is my guess
I just looked up a 97 C230 and a 97 Corolla AC compressor and the C230 is only $30 more

Not that much more expensive, still pretty cheap when you buy the parts on Rock Auto and do the work yourself
