I'm thinking about buying the 2010 Buell XBXT In the picture, it's listed as this, and registered as this legally.

My issue is, it looks like a Buell XB12X (no T). The reason i think this is the distinctive higher front guard and front light cage.

I know these things could have been put on aftermarket but im unsure, is there any way i can tell if it's an XB12X or a XB12XT ?

Thanks in advance!
>>
Add: The bike is in a different city, so i cannot measure the height from ground.

Seller ensures its the XT, but i have my doubts as ive seen wrongly listed buells before
>>
It's probably a modified bike. Motorcycles are modified for personal preference or due to crash damage because it is really easy to do.

You can tell what bike it actually is by the VIN.

I have the vin, so that cant be wrong at all?

Am I wrong in thinking these things don't last for shit?

Like 15 years ago I'd see them regularly, but haven't seen a single one in years.

>thinking about buying a Buell
i wouldn't. i would stick with a well established, proven brand like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, or even a BMW or Triumph.
i would never own a Buell, even if someone tried to give it to me for free

They did have lots of issues with them, <2008 models and jap imports. This is US new.

I really like buell, a friend from work has the 2007x model and ive taken it for a few rides. I understand were youre coming from though, 6 months ago i bought a 2008 xt and had major issues with it, lucky laws in my country allowed me to get a full refund, turned out the bike was an import and manufactured in 2007

What issues do they have? I've been wanting one.
