Well, long story short, I found out a few months ago that it's trying to advance the ignition by 19~ degrees, or something to that effect. Guy who diagnosed it didn't know why, though, so I just kinda left that alone since I'm really not qualified to mess with that shit.
You anons got any ideas? The only thing I've been able to think is that it's either trying to modify the ignition for a VTEC that no longer exists in that car, or that one of the sensors is bad.

Happened to me for the first and only time this winter. Some soccer mom in an SUV slammed on her brakes to not go through a yellow light and I kinda figured she was going to do that so I backed off her a bit, but the intersection was in a decline and it was snowing out, the moment I hit the decline my brakes stopped working. Started pumping them and shit but nothing, I was just sliding straight towards her. My friend immediately knew what was going on and we both just held out breath. I was trying to think of what to do. I had 3 options, risk going by her in the oncoming lane since nobody was coming, risk going by her in the right turn only lane, or just ram her and hope nothing bad happens (terrible idea I know). Keep in mind my horn wasn't working so I couldn't let her know I couldn't stop. The intersection was right before a bridge, the perpendicular road was a one way road right onto the highway, with a right turn only lane on my side. There was a car in the lane but thankfully he went for it so I decided to steer the car to the right onto the lane and hope nobody was coming through the intersection. I accelerated a bit (thank god for FWD but just this one time) and turned the wheel just enough so the car was in the lane and just slid through the intersection. The moment I saw nobody coming I let out a sigh of relief and slid to a stop
