I am buying a car for the first time, what is /o/ thoughts on a chevy impala? I have 5-6k.
I like the ss with the v8 and they sell pretty cheap, do the trannys last on them?
My brother-in-law sold cars back in college an he's telling me to buy a Toyota, Honda, or Hyundai.
Thoughts? Thanks

Listen to your brother, toyotas and hondas are very good beginner cars and you will most always find parts for them. The only major problem i can really think of with the hondas is that the automatic transmissions were prone to failure (esp on the v6 accord), so get a manual if you can drive them. You pretty much can't go wrong with a 3-4k civic/accord/corolla/camry/whatever provided you inspect it and its up to shape.
