Tried to start up spare car in the garage yesterday and battery was dead. I was in a hurry and a lot of shit was going on and I accidentally left the key in the accessory position. No big deal since the battery was dead. However when I walked into the garage this morning I saw that my roommate had hooked up a battery tender do it and left it on there all night. All the door locks were making noises, interior lights were blinking on and off, etc. and now the car won't start. Is the battery still just dead or are all my electronics in my car ruined?

battery is probably just toast, i have a couple trucks that slowly drain the battery and in winter when it gets -40c if i let them go low enough they freeze and when i try to charge them up the battery is obviously fucked and my door lights flicker, dash lights flicker etc. you shouldnt have damaged anything
unplug battery and turn key on for a couple seconds
then remove key, put battery back in and see what happens

>the battery still just dead
unless it's a VW or BMW, then prepare for the worst.

BMW and vw have weak / finicky / bad electronics and merrily age causes them to start to get ghosts so implying a legit electricial problem as described in the OP would likely seriously damage or kill said car.
