Hi, I have a van with a manual choke but I don't know how to use it when starting the vehicle
I've watched videos but they all just vague explained what to do without explaining how it works
Do I just pull the choke out when I start the car and rev it ?
I know nothing about cars. Any help is appreciated
Year make and model, also welcome to the club.

Dont bother with the choke. Just give it half throttle for a few minutes to it's nice and toasty

Pull the choke to close it.
Press the gas pedal to the floor once, and release it.
Crank the car over until it starts.
Give it some time to warm up
Slowly open the choke up making sure to not kill the engine
Once the choke is fully open you can proceed with a light foot until the engine is fully warm.

>Australian talking about cold
It needs it if it's under 80 degrees f out, yes.

Mine has no issues starting 90% of the time , in 50-70 f You might need to check your sparks if you need it that often, mine where fucked, and acted like that, changed them don't even need it anymore most of the time.

Np, also if you have v8, it might be different, my inline 6 pretty much takes care of it self when it comes to warming up.
