What are the best and worst trucks/brands for trucks? I want a midsize truck thats reliable obviously. Also semi decent on gas, so v6. I need it to be able to safely tow a trailor and car at least. I dont want a really long bed.
Ill be buying used. Almost all the trucks i come across in my price range (12k) have a tremendous amount of miles already. So im scared ill get one thats on its death bed.
Why does everyone make fun of ford trucks?
If you can wrench at all, I'd suggest getting something from the 90s. You can't go wrong with most trucks built from that era if they are in decent shape at all.
C1500s and F-150s had bulletproof engines. Rangers and hardbodies are nice if you wanted something smaller.
My Silverado made it to 253k miles with minimum repairs and was still going when I sold it.
you cant kill a dodge you can try
For most 80s-90's models, the V6 gets maybe 1 MPG more than the V8, while having a lower towing capacity and far less power.
V6 full-size trucks are a meme.

Never had any troubles with my Vortec. Maybe you're the meme.

I never had any problems with my 4.2 Ford either, but I definitely would've sprung for the Triton V8 if I'd had the
chance.

Id like somthing newer. Any 90s truck on the market would be 10k less than i have to spend. I want somthing modern, reliable, and easy on the eyes... like the sharp corners not the rounded ones. I mean hell ill take an older model but my girl wouldnt be caught dead in somthing outdated unless it was decked out (women nowa days). Itll be a daily driver that can also do truck stuff when i need it to.

So glad I'm gay.

I was thinking nissan titan, f-150, or honda ridgline maybe? Keep in mind i know shit all about brands and their trucks...

Hey, you be you, Anon. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

The ridgeline isn't a truck. It's a bloated FWD crossover with the back chopped off. Poor MPG, limited off-road abilities even with "AWD", low cargo capacity, and low tow capability.
>>17750964
Your not gonna get a Titan with a v6. Go frontier but make sure to check the towing capacity.
>>17750961
Gtfo.
>>17750982
I drove a friends ridgline to tow over 6000 lbs across 100 miles and it performed fine... Also is gets about 18 mpg.
>>17750987
They didnt make a v6 titan?

Beta as fuck.
whatever you get it better not be a fucking dodge
>>17751803
Fuck dodge
>>17750964
I would go for a titan. It has more than enough power, coupled to an automatic transmission that shifts reliably, smoothly, and smartly.
