what do you recommend as a good first drifting car

Just do what the rest of /o/ does and pull up the initial d wiki and pick whatever you think looks coolest

Probably a very light nimble car like a miata, I've only ever driven 5 series though you can drift with them too

Something reasonably long wheelbase, front engine, RWD. Not sure what you could get in the US but here in Aus there's heaps of stuff like that to choose from, particularly old Falcodores.
Also, need something with no/disable-able TC and good torque.
