So I've been saving for awhile as my parents didn't get me my first car so I'm wanting ideas for a starting car, my budget is £39,995 unfortunately I can't get my dream car which is a 2017 mustang because I've never driven before so I won't get insured.
Looking for suggestions I'm thinking a Ford Fiesta ST or maybe a diffrent hatch back
All ideas are appreciated I need something that is fast, fun to drive and cheap to run

Your biggest problem is insurance.
For someone like you buying a super hot hatch will be a death sentence for your wallet because you will 100% get ripped off by insurance as you are a starting driver.
Buy a shitbox to drive 2 years for insurance prems to drop then splurge on a mustang or whatever.

no chance.
get a citroen c2 and save cash until you can buy something better

Just get an older hot-hatch like an Old GTI or clio or something until you can afford the car you actually want, a couple years of accident free driving will lower your insurance premiums when you can actually get a nice car (And not get raped by the payments)
There are a LOT of good used cars for sale in the UK too, for decent prices, you really have a huge selection if you don't mind going for a cheaper older fun car for a couple years

Get a car no one crashes

Import a first gen twingo.

just get a cheap shitbox until you're in a better position in life. there is literally no reason to buy a brand new vehicle at your age. take it from someone who has made the mistake and regretted it.
besides, there are numerous older vehicles that can be had for cheap and provide much more joy than a fucking mustang.

Golf Mk2 > all
Cheap insurance, still exciting to drive. A few simple mods will bring it to that hot hatch level.

I'm sure there is I would either want a Mustang Or a Subaru Impreza when I anger insured on them just because I've wanted them since I was a kid
Yeah I will probably start on a cheap used car and keep driving that until I can get one of the cars I listed above
