Hey /o/ first time posting here
I am a complete car noob. I have a 1992 Nissan NX2000 that I want to make my project car. I have started doing a little reading, but I am completely new to this. I read about someone else doing an AWD conversion using a Pulsar GTI-R engine and parts. I was thinking about doing something along those lines. I just wanted to post here to gather more ideas and opinions. pls no bully
I think an AWD conversion is a bit much for a total noob.
Begin with maintaining it yourself until it is almost flawless, by then you will have a lot more experience.

It's not really in driving condition at the moment. I blew a rod through the engine way back. At first I just wanted to get a new engine for it, but I would like to change it to AWD or RWD at least. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that you might get frustrated and end up scrapping it if you try to take a bigger bite than you can chew.
If you have no experience at all, even an 1:1 engine change will be quite something but doing the engine and an AWD conversion?
You better be really determined and do your research and then even fucking doing it or as I said you will throw the towel two days in.
If I was you I'd check it out throughly if it is worth the hassle, think about if you can really do it and also look around if theres not a better condition NX2000 around to do stuff on. You could still use your original one as part donor and sell the rest you don't need or even better, keep the parts for later.

Thanks for the tips. I am pretty determined. No doubt I will get frustrated as fuck, but I enjoy putting things together and taking them apart. I enjoy a challenge. I got some more car savvy people to call on for help too.
As far as I am aware everything else on the car was in pretty good shape. What should I look out for as far as determining factors on whether I should look for another NX or not? My only concern there is that it is relatively hard to come by.
