Are 2000-2006 Chebby Tahoes good?
>>17718677
my mom had one with a v8 in it for a while. no real problems. it was at almost 200k miles when we sold it. They're pretty solid

ours was a 2005 and we sold it for like 8,500 and this wasn't a year ago. they hold their value well too
>>17718721
They all have V8s
>>17718677
Yes. Try to get one of the 2500s with the 6.0 if you can, those things are fucking bulletproof.

I WILL NEVER DIE

>fair interior
>clean exterior, no rust
>4x4
>only 450k miles
Asking $7000 firm, I know what I've got.

not sure if the tahoes came with the 4l60, but that's the weak point of that generation drivetrain

Upside to the 4L60E is that they're fucking everywhere, and pretty much every mechanic ever knows how to rebuild one.
Only if you don't live in the rust belt but even then I always hated the way our 2000 Tahoe drove. Completely numb steering, a floaty suspension that could make lesser people seasick on twisty roads, mushy feeling brakes that never inspired confidence, the 5.3 was barely adequate for 6,800lbs of base curb weight, and the transmission was typical lazy 4speed auto. Then of course there were all the weird problems it had after 100k. Honestly the newer GMTs are so much nicer in the way they drive I don't know why you'd get an older one unless none of the new ones are in your price range.

i want one again
As good as the current ones since they ride on the same fucking frame.
>>17718677
Yes if you buy a clean one from middle-aged white people.
>>17718677
Had one in that color constantly had CEL but nothing was wrong.

Sad thing is if its actually rust free and the check engine light is off it'll sell for 7k easy.
