Would this be a good buy for somebody looking for a barge to daily? Monthly payments would be around 80-100 dollars a month.
What the fuck. Are those Somali dollars? That's a $1K car in the US.
Yeah it's a good car. It's a Panther coupe too which is more rare.
Not worth 1/5th of that. You'd be a fool to buy that at that price.

Where can I buy a Grand Marquis that age in near mint condition for a lower price?

It's low mileage. If it has a super clean interior, Cold AC,new tires, and nothing dumb has been done to it it might be worth $2600. Cars like this you don't make monthly payments on OP.

Suppose you may have a point. It's just so hard to find Malaise vehicles here in the midwest without rust problems.
Honestly, if you want a boat get a Crown Vic. $5K will get you an exceptional ~2010 example.
I'm guessing that V8 makes like 150 hp

This. 2003-2011 are the best if you just want the panther platform.
But I do say a coupe would be more unique. It's a good opportunity to practice dealership negotiating skills because no one else will touch that car. I guarantee you can knock $1,000 off that price. If you play your cards right, $2k
>>17715541
> monthly repayments
> $4,995
cunt if you can't afford $5k in cash to buy a car you can't afford to own a fucking car
>>17715864
A Crown Vic and a Grand Marquis are the same fucking thing. For OP's year it would just be an LTD Crown Victoria instead.
>>17716091
Yeah but I mean a 2010 Crown Vic in great condition for $5K, not a 1985 for the same money.
>>17715541
That's a horrible deal, you could get one 20 years newer with similar miles for barely any more money.
I have a boat too. 96 Buick Roadmaster. Some people don't like the LT1 but I picked up mine for 2500 with 92k miles. I say buy what you want but that really shouldn't be over 3k

LT1 is a beast. Only thing wrong with it is the distributor

I grew up with one of those. Parts were getting almost impossible to find back then. You better check junkyards and part suppliers first to see if you can get parts for it still.
