I like to fill out free quotes online and Im not sure if this is quite right. I am 20 from brooklyn nyc and I want to get a first car. Now, I make about 45 a year and the quotes im getting back are anywhere from 700-1000 dollars. Thats pretty fucking steep. is this right? Is this a monthly payment? I might be in denial because i cant believe how cucked i am by the city i was born in. If this is correct I may have to move to NJ just so i can drive a car that i want and not some cuckbox. Honestly i want to neck myself this shit is so infuriating i hate this fucking place. Any advice pleae? Noone in my family drives so i learn everything from the internet.

I've heard of people who live in the city but park in NJ. Maybe that should be an option to consider.

I live in the UK where we get shafted on insurance and I paid £1400 (so just short of $2000) for my first car and am paying £1000 for my second. That said, if you keep filling out dummy quotes actuaries get that they keep getting requests from one person and think something is up so stick the premium up. Stop filling in speculative quotes online an actually ring some companies.
