Don't get a 540i, bmw v8's are a headache when it comes to maintenance. Get a 525/528/530i

i have heard worse about the n54 twin turbo than the n/a v8's, but have only owned 6 cyl bmws, 2 e90's and a e39. care to enlighten me?
post your local craigslist faggot

Actually yeah the n54's are the biggest offenders, they're known for having a ton of issues and basically end up costing more than the car itself. The turbo V8's are second behind the n54 and NA V8 is a bit more reliable than those. NA I6 is bulletproof as you probably know.
To break it down as far as reliability goes: I6>I4>V10>NA V8>FI V8>FI I6 (n54 - the newer n55's are solid)

Have you thought about the Toyota Corolla S?
I've ALWAYS wanted a 1980s M3, is that a stupid thing to buy?

>Is it a stupid thing to buy?
No its not. They currently sell between $30k-$60k depending on its condition.
I love E30 M3's but wouldn't pay anywhere close to $30k for a car like that. Mainly because I don't have money like that.
Check this website out to see the recently sold E30 M3's and the prices they went for.
