I've been driving an '08 S40T5 for 7 years. Great little car, very reliable, kinda lacking on power and a choppy suspension... Make sure you get that timing belt changed at 110-120k, and watch the oil level. These cars are notorious for eating oil.

Sounds about right, a little cheaper than what I used to pay (in Sweden though) but I did it at a Volvo dealership, not sure if you were going to do that.

Looks good both inside and out compared to what other manufacturers were pushing out in '04.

The interior was so timeless that they kept it all the way until 2012. I personally think that the sharper pre-facelift exterior looks better, even Volvo went full blob in the '10s.
