Anything I should know about carburetor engines? How difficult is it to get parts for it? Anything I should check out when Im inspecting it?

Is a carburetor that difficult to deal with?
Is there a particular noise for the tensioner that I need to worry about? Does the noise happen at a cold start?

If you're looking to tinker, a carburetor engine is brilliant. No fiddling with ECUs.
Toyota began offering EFI midway thru 86. The 85-94 22r and 22re (EFI) engine blocks interchange. Keep a fresh timing set on them as they tend to wear into the cylinder head when they get loose and sloppy like my ex. Iv seen carb models go 600k with just a couple sets of head gaskets starters + alt. The 4x4 beds all rusted the fuck out way too fast. 2wds rusted slower for some unknown reason. Don't scrap it after you ream it out. Enthusiasts scour Craigslist for any pieces they can find and they will pay dearly for rusty ol Yoder shit rotting behind your meth lab
