How much do junkyard parts typically cost? Like if I grabbed pic related from a junkyard, what could it amount to? 20 bucks? A couple hundred? Also general junkyard thread

Go buy it and find out retard

5%-10% of new part prices...at least it is for me here in Ontario...

Shut the hell up

I'd say over a hundred depending on what you can fit in your pockets.

If it is parts for newer cars, 50% of new is generally the going rate. With older parts, something less. Maybe much less. With classic parts can be all over the spectrum. maybe over 100%, maybe close to nothing.

Depends on car like people said, but if it's common I bet lots of those parts will end up being like $5-$20 ea.
And also what people said about "whatever you can fit in your pockets", true. Make sure you bring some tools because many places you just roam the yard on your own and bring the shit to the front after you take it off yourself.

Would they have an inventory of what cars they have? I don't want to go searching for a million hours to find out they don't have mine

they should have a list of all the VIN's in their yard. pretty sure thats a legal requirement.
I need an LSD from an 80s bmw
car-part site has a few that show up but god damn they're nearly as much as ordering one from ebay.
Look it up on pick a part or whatever your nearest junker is
