Are Korean cars good yet?

They are ok now...not good but ok
Last korean car I drove was a 2009 sonata and the mirrors didn't even fold in, battery was held in place by a small rusty screw, center console latch broke through light usage but was like a $4 fix, and just generally built shitty. Korean car makers should just rebrand themselves and start over.
They're trying real fucking hard, so that's something.
The best Korean cars are better than the worst Japanese cars.
Just had a 2017 Forte as a rental car. Nothing special about it, but nothing bad about it either, better than FCA/Nissan trash at least.

I hope this was good. Took a Genesis Coupe for a test drive after trying a Mustang/BRZ/M230i, it was trash.

Yeah, the Genesis Coupe wasn't quite there yet. Nice specs, nice engine, but chassis, gearbox and steering feel were pretty bad.
So they got Lotus to tune the suspension on the Genesis sedan (pic related), which reviewers seemed to love, and now they have the ex-head of BMW's M-division in charge of vehicle dynamics.
I'm carefully optimistic about the Stinger and upcoming Genesis G70.
