Hey, /o/. I'm planning to buy a used (duh) Lexus LS 400. Is there anything I should pay close attention during the car examination?

What year?
Cracked EGR pipe, instrument cluster backlight, that's about all of the main stuff imo.

Starter motor
ECM module
Dashboard electronics
Buy it based on how well it was cared for. These are great cars. As long as it hasn't been owned by ghetto / barrio retards, you'll have a great car.
It's an old luxury car. It's going to have problems that are hard to diagnose, even if it is a Toyota.

This mostly
1UZ is an amazing engine. Just prepare yourself to make 18 miles to the gallon at best on premium

Even for being an old car a Lexus LS has better than average reliability with cheap maintenance costs and lower costs for repairs.
...unless the timing belt fucks up.

make sure it wasn't owned by a black person
you can never get the smell out and they don't maintain stuff.
I'm about to check out an sc400 with 200k miles on it. The interior is clean and the body has no dents so I hope it runs good.

>18 miles to the gallon
That's about what I get in the city during the summer. Highway is 27 at 80mph.
