My take home a year between the car wash and leasing the farm land is 50-70k just really depends on how the year goes especially on the farming side. the car wash is pretty consistent

high school and some community college. I take 1 class a semester online right now. DESU its just to keep student discounts and to slowly get an 2yr degree Just to say I have a degree.

With the farm I got left my grandparents house and all their outbuildings and the trailer that my great aunt lived in until she died. I sold the land that just the house is on.
I live in the trailer by the main shop. Rest of the outbuildings I lease out too the same people that farm the land. I just keep the shop for room for cars and stuff if I ever do stuff with them.

I live in the middle of nowhere, 2 hours from any town with more than 4000 people.. Closest wal-mart is almost an hour away. Most of my shopping is done at the dollar general we have in town. If that gives you an idea of how backwater of an area I live in.

I live in a rural region, so not many of them are here.
Also, secondary education in our school system is split into 2 to 4 school types (depending on the state). The types have different difficulties and award different certificates. Only the one from the most difficult type allows you to enroll at a university. I teach at this type and and only few immigrants are able to attend it.
If you're a teacher at the easiest type in a metropolitan area, shit sucks.

Bought it for 1000. Body was straight and clean interior. Catch was the fuel pump was Jerry rigged and anytime I needed it to work I'd have to plug the relays, off I had to unplug. The thing never started the first try. Overheated too and was a non-op. Bought it anyways because I wanted my first car to be something nice looking and any other 3rd gen was trashy af.

Started getting work done it slowly found out it had a blown head gasket (go figure). Start looking for new job and get one. But along the way I meet a guy and he knew about my car problem(I was carpooling). He offered help me out. Later find out he used to work for NASCAR. Tells me he can not o my replace the 2.8ltr but swap it for a better engine and them some. He used his connections got a lot of stuff for dirt ass cheap. I'm paying $1150 for the work and $250 for labor and made a new friend.

>>17692938
Yea, it sucks being in a position where you are expected to help everyone but I have to sit there and still question why can't they fucking figure it out!!!

If I do something wrong, nobody really there to stand up for me, maybe that is because you are so high up and you are in a position others really don't understand.

Its almost as if the people at work don't actually know how to do their job at all, some of the questions they ask and I have to help them with I can only imagine how long have they been in the field if at this level they still need someone to help them on escalations, tickets, projects, and troubleshooting work

Can you believe it, I know why they don't like me but how about they fucking pay attention for once and actually learn how to troubleshoot without involving me in every escalation!!!!!!!1

Hello fellow business NEET. I'm 27 and drive a 2002 Ford Taurus, silver (natch). I had a chance but blew it, I was two months away from replacing my retiring supervisor at a chevy car dealership (a $40k/yr easy job) but quit because it was misery. Little did I know the NEET life was 10x WORSE that the bored wagecuck life. I was so stupid.

It's my first job out of college. I got an internship at the company the summer before my senior year. At the end of the internship, they gave me an offer to come back for a full-time job once I finished my degree. The only experience I had before the internship was a small side project or two, but the level of experience you need depends on where you're applying. Just make sure to get some internships before you graduate. They look good on your resume, and you don't need a lot of experience to get one.

I like the actual coding part of the job, most of my issues with it have to do with the company I'm at. If things don't get better soon, I'll start looking around.

Not the anon you replied to but I'm a recent cs graduate as well. Personally I hated software engineering and didn't apply to any development positions. Instead I focused more on IT and infosec. However my first job which I'm working now is systems engineering which is requirements development, designing tests, and assessing safety critical software, its not my exact cup of tea and I'm still trying to break into infosec but it has been easy to pick up and I get paid pretty well for a recent graduate. I just had a systems admin/devops internship and skills from extracurricular clubs, no projects really. Unless you specifically want to write code there are a lot of different jobs you can use your degree to get. Just learn how to interview and get professional experience while your in school. In fact if you're looking for an internship I'd be happy to refer you (my company gives referral bonuses)

Plan is to make the MR2 as nice as possible. Lots of maintenance to be done (timing belt, engine rebuild kits arrived today...), and significant rust to clean up. I mean I guess if you are retarded/autistic it makes sense.

No genuine car enthusiast would buy a ferrari. They're trash compared to competition. Ever wonder why you don't see a ton of built/modded ferraris like you do lambos/porsches?

I mean we all know that the autist NEET is lying about 200k/ferrari but even if he wasnt 200k isn't enough that I'd be going out and buying one of the most overpriced exotics. Unless it was a 10+ year old used one.

200k isn't even rich. Especially when you get to the places that most people who buy that kinda shit live.

I make 110k a year as a purchasing manager for a rail production facility and I live in that kind of an area here in florida. My basic 2br house was 140k vs the 60-80k it'd be many other places in the US.

200k salary isnt enough for a half intelligent person to be considering a high maintenance depreciating asset like a ferrari unless they're nearing retirement or have banked long enough. This dude is full of shit, but no one should be surprised because this is 4chan on /o/ where everyone is lying

this is the way to do it though.
Also in military. 3 deployments.
im at 58k.
also an engineer for BNSF railroad.

BNSF has a fucking awesome benefits system for active military. While I was deployed I got my full service pay and BNSF paid 70% of my wage while i am performing active duty functions(serving or training). Last year with a 10 month deployment that went into this year and 4 weeks of training between the two incomes I pulled 144k and I also get both pensions.

Military people who don't take advantage of the possibilities of the different employment agencies that have these kinds of systems for service members are really throwing a ton of time/money away.

Move to northern alberta and you can make literally 100k a year starting. Move up and contract (need your own truck and welder though) and you can charge 150/hour.

30k a year is less than welders helpers make here, and all they do is hold the tools and grind for the welder.

I started selling at 23, right when the dealership opened. I was the top sales guy for 3 years in a row, then they made me assistant sales manager because I was the only one who knew Infiniti cooperate due to turnover.

Did well as an assistant sales manager for a bit, but I was really a sales manager (we didn't have one) so they bumped me to sales manager just a few months ago.

Most sales managers are my age though, at least in my auto group.

I was driving a BMW E36 316i 1.9L Compact before and I miss it a lot. For sure, the Lolvo is comfy af, reliable and safe, but it cost me almost all my savings, it feels kinda boring to drive and man, that fucking e-gas-pedal feels like stepping on pure cancer.

This is exactly right. I make $120k base and between bonuses and consulting on the side I make $150-$160 USD. I have never even considered a Ferrari, even when I was single and hit $175,000 one year.
I'd be buying a used, quickly depreciating exotic with incredibly expensive maintenance that would garner no respect from people who knows cars and no pussy from the kind of women who fuck you based on your car. "muh Ferrari" does jack shit when it's a ten year old F430 with a dash lit up like a Christmas tree.
So, I drive an M3 like every other yuppy and consider suicide most days like every other quasi creative talented programmer who sold his soul along with his ideas for a paycheck

not the same anon, but I used to work for UPS. It's a long, painful process based on union seniority to bid for jobs. In my area it was like 9+ years to become a driver. Keep in mind everyone starts part time at around $9 an hour (maybe more now, this was years ago but that was still less than peanuts in SoCal) and it takes years to even get the shittiest FT position

What are the hours like? I'm in asset management and may be looking at transitioning to IB
>>
>>17712904

They were shitty as an analyst, but improved greatly when I moved up to associate and transitioned to another bank.

As an analyst I worked ~70hrs per week average I would guess. They went down to ~50 as an associate now, but we're slow during the summer so that can change. You're expected to be there until the job is done even if it's at 4am on a Saturday.

The worst I had was working 24hrs straight on two live deals. Shitty upper management, on one deal the client was actually calling my desk worried about the deal going through. Didn't even bother calling my Vice President or MD and just called me the fucking analyst to discuss. Both deals failed and I left the bank a few months later.

Your mileage may vary on hours. I'm not a powerpoint monkey at my new job so that means I can focus on my actual work and models, so my hours are a lot better. If you transition in fresh you can expect 100 hour weeks as you learn how everything works. It's brutal, you will probably gain weight and your health will decline. Unless you're really tight, you will have relationship problems with your significant other and you may lose your friends

Worst banks in terms of hours are Lazard, Evercore, and Jefferies I heard. Your small boutiques will be a lot lighter in hours but won't have the same dealflow. Bulge bracket hours suck too.

It's not the years, it's the miles. Oh ... wait. Shit. I'm old.

Yes, it's got a Hemi. Just shy of 100K miles. Get about 15MPG in town, 19MPG on the highway. I've usually got about a hlf-ton of tools with me, though. Plenty reliable, except for an EGR sensor that keeps getting cooked and throwing a code. I've replaced it twice. Now I just erase the code with my OBDII scanner.

It's been recalled a couple of times for silly shit. Current recall is for the Takata-Kamikaze airbag inflator. I really should get it in for that...
