You shouldn't drive if you aren't in the condition of doing so, know it from a close friend who sometimes takes the bus because he isn't trusting himself to not driving his car head on into a concrete wall.

How do you start trusting yourself to drive?

In about four hours I'm apparently going through trial-by-fire and having to drive my car home through a city while only having ever driven on empty backroads before. I know my car but can't stop thinking about brakes failing or steering to far or basically anything and hitting somebody.

Best is when it snows a lot overnight. Go find a big empty parking lot and let it rip. Worst that happens is you hit a light pole at 10mph.

Always fun when you get a wet parking lot and start tearin it up closer to 30-40mph and you hit a dry patch and it almost flips the car.
