If the parking lot is full? Kinda a dick move since it leaves 1 less space.
Otherwise, I'm fine with it. He paid for 2 spots, so he can take 2 spots - just like you buy 2 seats on a plane.

Parking rear first is a lame attempt at getting attention.

>look at muh shitbox, people.

How is parking rear end whoring for attention,
when it's much easier than parking forward?
>>

Aircraft paint remover is the best since aircraft have tougher paints. But how to do it without getting caught? Do you use a squirt bottle? Or is it better to have camouflage like a drink bottle. But instead of water or juice, the drink bottle has paint stripper?

My workplace has a reverse parking policy because some idiot decided to walk in the road rather than on the footpath and got a little love bump.

I actually came in 10 mins early just to watch all the people who had never bothered reverse parking in years struggle to park. Honestly I think it genuinely separates the good drivers from the bad.
>>
>>17678157
He is also helping the vehicles adjacent to him because now they can park on the line and not get door dinged. I always disliked parking in a narrow spot marked "compact car only" then some SUV parks next to me in the compact spot.

There was a driver 2 weeks ago that was going into a tight spot. I was walking away after having parked when I heard a crunching noise. Oh no, not my car! I ran back to my car. It was someone else's car that was trying to get into a compact spot but the driver's front corner hit. How such an obvious part of the car hits something I don't know.

There's one mall that is large but it's number of parking spots is small. I guess the developer was excessively greedy and marked all the parking spots to very close to the legal minimum length and width. Even the driving aisles are small which means cars trying to back out need to swing sharply. But that means their front corner may scrape your rear fender as they back out at an angle. And of course that is what happens.

Once in a rare while, I will go park at the adjacent and carefully eat in the car while watching the antics in the parking lot. About 1 out of every 3 times, I will see either a hit-and-run crunch (backs up and hits the car across the narrow aisle) or a fender scrape. 1 out of 3 times in the approx 15 minutes for my field of view means that parking lot has a bunch of hit and run body damage incidents every day.

That is irresponsible parking lot design, but it is unfixable due to all cities having laws saying there must be a certain number of parking spots per square foot of retail space. Such laws only encourage the creation of tiny parking spots not only not wide, but they are short and the aisles are short too. By the way, a crown victoria cannot park in most spaces. Okay, it technically can park if there are no cars in the adjacent spaces. Once cars park in the spots next to that crown vic, it is locked in due to the narrow aisle.

>parking rear first
HELL NO. That means my front headlight bezels are exposed. As other careless or "who cares attitude" drivers back out, they might hit the corner of my car as they leave. The rear is hittable. But the front corners of my car have expensive headlamp bezels. If those are hit, they have to be replaced or water gets in and sizzles the lights. So hell no to risking my headlights. Have you seen the prices of headlight bezel replacement? It's absurdly high for such a piece of plastic.

I am forced to park nose-in so that I can protect the front of the car.

That happened to me. I worked at a Home Depot and started my shift at 3 in the afternoon. Pulled into a space and realized I was straddling the line but each of the four cars next to me had each moved further towards the line so even though I had a full space between cars, I was over the line.

Get out at 11 and someone wrote a long, nasty note about my parking ability since by the time they got there, all the other cars had left.

I was driving a 15-year old volvo... why exactly would I want to protect it?

A lot of people have very poor awareness of the dimensions of their vehicle while inside it.

>>17678134
Slash just one tyre

Should have ziptied the shopping cart to the passenger side, that way there'd be a chance they'd accidentally try to drive off with the cart in tow.
>>
>>17679791
Now I want to go buy some extra long zipties. Looks like 11 inch would be the shortest possible one to use.

>>17679791
>that way there'd be a chance they'd accidentally try to drive off with the cart in tow.
Nah, that would be like taking a cheap dollar store padlock and dollar store nylon dog leash and locking that through the holes in one of the rims.

They'd drive out into the street and the cart would break loose and either bash another car or it would go into traffic and cause a real accident. A "bad parker" harms other drivers and any method to annoy a bad parker should not also harm other drivers or else there would be too much hypocrisy in play.

>>17679748
>Slash just one tyre
Stabbing a tire can be dangerous. Most of the time it works, but there can be a few times where the tire cord unravels quickly and a chunk of tire blasts out on you. There's a youtube video of a "Tire Insurance Seller" getting knocked down and injured by his own blade after slashing a tire. What they do is run up to your car at a stop light to sell you "tire slashing insurance". If you don't pay, they slash your tire right there.

Seems that way. Or they're drunk or on drugs. Too many cars on the road come close to the line. Or when they make a right turn, they first get partially into the lane to their left before finally turning right.

How the fuck is parking reverse an attempt at attention when it makes it easier to get out of your space
