Car cleaning general. I'm spending this lovely Saturday cleaning my car.
Do you enjoy cleaning your /o/?
What's your tips and tricks?
How often do you detail your /o/?
Pro tip:
>Use an electric razor to shave your ragged old carpet. The carpet will look brand new
I detail mine ( never removed the seats) at least once a month or when it gets really dirty. One thing I do is dry the outside with a cotton t-shirt that stays damp. Gets rid of water spots and any dirt left behind.

That's a great idea. I always have issues with spots.
Removing the seats helps a lot
Has anyone ever used one of those ceramic coatings on their paint? From the reviews I've seen, it really makes it look nice, but $60 seems a bit expensive for a small vial.

Never heard of it. What does it do

Please don't

I've been recommended against it, but my brother in law had a 1999 Pontiac grand prix and always dries it like that. The car looked great until he sold it 3 years ago. He even drove down dirt roads sometimes. ( something I avoid having lived on one)

It's a sealant that you put over your paint. Allegedly it is really hydrophobic and prevents dirt from sticking to the paint. There are several companies that make the stuff, some refer to it as a glass coating. It seems to be relatively new on the car detailing scene.
