Is this a good deal? Pic related is not the one I'm after, but a stock pic.

1mz is a reliable engine just prone to sludge issues of oil changes weren't done correctly. Check for that. Other than that, pretty bulletproof. No they don't handle and no they aren't sporty. Yes they're women's cars. Just a feminine Camry coupe really. Not a bad car.

You could get em with a stick and v6? Bretty nice, I had a 03 Camry v6. It wasn't.. slow. About as quick as your average newer compact car

These cars did 0-60 in about 8 seconds. Not slow I guess but nowhere near quick. I drove an Avalon (basically same car but more power) for years and it was mearely adequate
You're welcome OP

Thanks y'all, I'll be checking it out later.
As long as it ain't a Civic, it's alright by me.

i had a 2001 solara v6. Just like all toyotas they are tanks and if treated right will last above 300,000 miles. For 2k$ yeah that's a little high but thats the max I would pay for 17 year old car
Some faggot kid I used to work with had a tan solara, until all of a sudden it started smoiking and eventually caught fire while coming back from lunchbreak, it sat in our back lot forever lol

My 3k civic(with a couple mods, of course) will run circles around you in the McDonalds parking lot, fagboy.
You better watch out.

Get a haynes manual with it so you can understand and plan on any fixes you might need to do. At this age / mileage, I'd bet the evap canister doesn't work and there might be other emissions problems like EGR functionality. Just plan on getting some stuff fixed as it goes out.
