Which one is better

I prefer Mister 2
MR2 normies will think it's a supra, normies think the miata is a sportscar
>>17653738
memeiata has better aftermarket by far

I'm friends with a guy whose business is literally building and tuning MR2's primarily and Toyotas. My aftermarket might as well be unlimited.
If you're gay then the Miata is probably better.

Where at?
>2015 MX-5 PE-VPS 1,998 cc 13:1 compression - 118kw
>1990 MR-2 3SGE 1,998 cc 10:1 compression - 121kw
MAZDA BTFO!
MR layout is a rookie killer, but fast and "exotic" (if you think MR is exotic).
Mx5 is a reliable bet, but its slow and it's hard to find a nice clean one for anything worth paying.

Yeah, my friend has an MR-S and I have an NB Miata, and we often swap cars for an autocross run. I have a hard time figuring out if the MR-S is about to oversteer or understeer, or both. I’ve spun it a few times, while oversteer in the Miata has always been slow enough for me to catch. Said friend recently got decent tires and they seem to help – at least it doesn’t seem to understeer and then snap oversteer on me anymore. Maybe I’m just getting enough laps in to get a feel for it. I suspect there’s more potential in the MR-S, but it’s not a car you can learn on the street.
Also, if you’re short then the MR-S is a little too bathtub-like, while the Miata’s seat bottom is too high up if you’re tall.
But the biggest difference, imo, is that the Miata’s trunk is actually useful. I can fit a carry-on bag and a duffel bag in there, or a ton of groceries. Don’t play golf, but other than the driver you can fit one or two bags of clubs in there. The MR-S doesn’t even have room for a helmet unless you remove the spare. Not a big deal if you don’t have a passenger and can use that space, but I can’t imagine using it for a couple’s weekend trip.

The other mr2s have a trunk that is similar in size though

miata. mid engine is a meme.

worked for me and a friend
if we needed to bring a helmet maybe not, but we just shoved stuff on top of the spare tire and behind the seats

fr is even more of a meme because you can't even commit to the proper engine location for rwd
