Hi /o/,
I have a 2013 shitstang v6 auto that has 12k miles. I have done a couple things to it, nothing major, to it and now have wondered if its due to a tune.
About a month ago, the car wont engage into shifting into reverse or park or anything. I usually feel a bump when shifting from park to drive or reverse, but it will not do anything and act like if it was in neutral.
My car would work like normal after going to park and turning it off and back on, but today i had to do it 4 times to get it to work.
I have a MPT tune, but had it over half a year now. Nothing else but bolt ons where done, any idea what is going on?

Check your shifter cable, and or linkage. Or better yet get a new car.

Hey OP, shop employee here. This is actually a commom problem on these mustangs. They are actually on recall that i know. Anyways your mustang doesn'tlet you shift out of park because something is wrong with your electrical system. Check to see if your brake lights are working. Mustangs don't let you shift out of park if your brake lights are out. The way we'd get around this at the shop is you just pop off the little shifter cover (gently, with a plastic trim tool) and disengage the lock manually. Its actually very easy m8. If your brake lights aren't out and its still not shifting out then you have to call Ford be that's their pedo now. Also make sure you check your brake lights when the car is ON as im engine running. Sometimes your running lights will work, but as soon as you engage the brake pedal they shutoff. (Very common problem, should've got the manual)

Oh shit nevermind OP i completely misread your OP. Disregard what i said, I'm deleting it soon. Sounds to me like your transmission is fucking gone m8, as in it's slipping like crazy and your fucked. New trans or tranny rebuild needed ASAP. Have you checked your ATF levels??
