LMP1 programs cost nearly $250 million
F1 efforts cost $44 million
Indy car teams $15 million
How do you fix LeMans?
>F1 efforts cost $44 million
maybe if you want to finish last
Perhaps you don't and find somewhere else to race? Like LeMons?
I will only care about a race series that uses actual stock cars.

>F1 efforts cost $44 million
Not even remotely close there fella...Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull spend close to 1B Euros combined a season...
Toyota, when they left F1 had nearly 1K employees...to field 2 cars just about every second weekend...

>Indycar
>$15 Million budget
Maybe if you're starting from scratch. A good, healthy budget for a single-car team is around $6 Milllion, but some teams bare-bones stuff (*cough*Dale Coyne Racing*cough*) and get away with $4 Million, especially if you own a bunch of spares that aren't complete junk.

Nobody is actually addressing the question, only debating the (blatantly) bad number OP provided. But how about this... teams who want to run an LMP prototype can spend a maximum of $45m per annum, not a penny more

Remove hybrid
Open up the regulations a bit
Wow done
>>17651617
>f1 44 million
The only teams that compete like red bull, ferrari and mercedes spend 400 million each.

Nothing needs fixing, LMP is already better than F1 without a doubt. IndyCar is better by far, but I also live in Speedway, IN so I'm biased.

I miss living in IN there was so much racing related shit going down.
>>17651617
>LMP1 programs cost nearly $250 million
Not for Toyota
Also one of those is not like the others
Maybe the problem is europeans
>>17653286
LMP1 is dead man
