For example zokusha cars usually have small diamter wheels and kinda thin exhausts exhaust pipes.

Americans try copy this but the wheels are too big and the exhaust pipes usually just go up at an almost 90 degree angle and are so wide they look like the exhaust pipe on mack truck.

Like look at this American attempt.

The wheels are too big, they are supposed to be more like 14"s.

Exhaust looks okay for an American example but not the best.

Instead of a tsurikawa there is a piston for some reason.


I'm not saying it looks good when the Japanese do it but this is a failed attempt at fitting the style.

Also you will notice the American example isn't even low which is a fundamental part of this style.

Once again wheels too big for the style, they need to be little and the exhaust is more of a VIP style not zokusha and the car isn't even low.

It's kinda okay when they get it to look authentic but it's always more like a cringey attempt at imitating japan.
