After four months this pos finally made it to my drive way. Broken valve springs popped head gasket. Corrosion on the front timing cover. Fucked power steering pump. Now it needs a fuel pump. Apparently the valves springs were stock with a 500 lift cam. Great combination. Spent the last week fixing electric. Have to build a new headlight harness for the passenger side. It will roast drag radials all the way through first gear. Paint color is royal sapphire pearl, it's a Lexus color.

That body style is one of my favorites. I like the Firebird Formula duel hood scoops better, though.
Broken spring. 7 cylinders of fury.
This happened on the last valve spring. Had 140psi of air in the cylinder, but caught the valve stem due to the wierd angle the tool was at. So the other head came off. Using crower springs with chromoly retainers and 10 degree locks. Cam is a mystery. Dial indicator shows 490-500 lift. It does have dome pistons in it. 10.0:1 compression.
Should have it all together in a week or so unless it fucks me over again.
Find a "snorkel good" to make it look a lot better.
