It's not happening, is it?
It was good for this accursed world

They could call it something else and give it a turbo 4 cylinder or turbo V6. sure, its not the rotary you want but its better than no flagship sprots car right?
Literally all they need to do is put the fiat 500e engine and half the batteries so weight stays low and they will pass emissions
just how retarded are they?
a-any year now!

>2800lbs
>2.5T from CX-9
>350HP
Could be neat. Though I doubt it'd rev to even 7k.

Wait until the Tokyo Motorshow, if it isn't revealed there it's safe to say it's done

Yeah, Nissan has their 370z and it does pretty well, but look at its competitors... gt86? Mustang?? Audi TT and BMW Z4??? The category kinda folded on itself and took a few others with it. Mazda and Toyota don't want to build a car to compete with Mustangs, and Mitsubishi has been too busy eating glue for the last 12 years to care
I just hope that if Mazda or Toyota get frisky again and make a proper sports car that the other will follow and we can have the Jap brands vying for superiority again. Let's be honest, that flabby ass 370z has had it too easy for too long

Its the targa version of the ND miata.
>>17614790
Electrically retractable hardtop Miata. In Canada it costs 40k, which is more than a decently equipped Mustang GT, or a BRZ with 10k worth of mods.
>tfw you will never own the RX Vision
>tfw when rotary is virtually ded
>tfw you'll never own a brand new Mazda performance car
>tfw too big for a Miata
>tfw when rust has eaten your first gen 3 alive
>tfw too many Mazda feels
>everyone and his dog banning gas/diesel cars
It was never going to happen

Have hope for a MS3 or MS6 next gen. Hopefully they can pull it off "Without being too childish".
