Are drilled/slotted rotors really that much better?
>>17613550
No, they're actually worse because there's less surface area. Only thing they do is ventilate the disks, which isn't necessary at all for street use. Unless you're tracking your car, not worth it
Drilled rotors can cause uneven wear since they make cool off faster in some parts than others. They are great for track use, but in the long slotted rotors are much better.

Watch Benjamin Button explain why drilled/slotted rotors are shit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78wbht355R8

This guy's making a lot of sense, I mean in tracks/racing brake wear is a given and you trade off even wearing for increased heat dissipation which is really important for that type of driving.
I guess it would only make sense to have it on a weekend car

Can, but lets be real they usually wont.
So you get a couple thousand less miles on your brakes. Who cares, worth the looks imo.
drilled and slotted brake pads are where it's really at

Personally I think they look uglier than blanks.
I have D&S on my car and all the holes are brown and rusty looking because lolstoptech
feels bad man
>>17613550
Literally only good for a track car. It's made for better heat dispersion-and even then it's more stylistic unless you're talking ceramic
Ive had my rotors glaze over from just stop and go traffic. Would D/S rotors have made a difference?
>>17615979
No, proper brake pads would. And by proper I mean OE stuff and not cheap shit from pep bois, you're driving in stop and go traffic not on a race track
I prefer dimpled. At least they accomplish something without causing premature wear.

Mine were OEM replaced less than 6 months prior.

It's mostly stylistic, your everyday consumer believes that slotted & drilled = performance. If the disc doesn't have them the consumer believes the manufacturer cheaped out. Despite not knowing what they do consumers want them so car manufacturers are happy to oblige

My car is N°37
Cheap ones are worse than solid. Good ones won't make much of a difference outside of track use
