Honestly it isn't that bad. The seat is lower than a regular 500 so it doesn't feel like a bread van as much. The roof is really tall so you don't feel like the car is tiny from the driver's seat. It's pretty comfy, I kind of wish it had the leather seats though.

Not yet. If I do it'll probably just be minor things front sway bar and other suspension stuff. The way I see it is that at the end of the day and a few engine mods later it'll still be a small fartnoise maker, so I'd rather focus on making it handle better. Just the P0137 code, which is a downstream o2 sensor, makes sure the cat is working. Code refers to it not getting voltage, so bad wire. Easy fix. Otherwise it drives, shifts, stops, launches, all like a perfect car. AC even blows cold.

It's just the front bumper, headlights and hood, the guy said the crash was at >20mph. There's like six or seven of them at local junkyards, so the body paneling and whatever won't be more than a couple hundred. I can get it painted for free, too. The expensive part will be the tires and alignment. All in all, I probably won't spend more than $3000 total on it including the initial price, which is less than an even older Mercedes that runs half as good (speaking in California prices). It could easily be a money pit if I was paying someone else to do the work, but I do all my work myself.

I feel ya man. I live in Yuma AZ and dust is everywhere. I can spend 6 hours detailing my car and within one week it's covered in dust and my nice wax shine has completely dulled. The sun and dust do a nice OHKO on my car. I moved out here for a job from Cali, I have a black 370z, and trying to keep it looking good is really fucking hard. Only thing I miss about San Diego was I could detail my car and have it last for almost a month because of the almost perfect weather.

I have a strange obsession for abarth 500s. I live in BFE Iowa where there is farm lands as far as the eye can see. Everyone single person down here drives a truck. Abarths got a good safety rating, but I don't know if it can stand up to Farmer John and his F-250 SD.

I don't mind it since I have rwd boomers to play with and have fun with, this car is just a quick daily that is somewhat reliable.

It's a shame the ms6 isn't more popular because they seem like a really nice car even with the crappy awd system.

I want to see how the new cx3 awd system is and will be waiting for people to awd convert these cars or something.

I just really like the styling of my gen 2 mps and I will probably keep it forever regardless of what people say.
