The concept isn't American, nearly all manufacturers offer upscale models under a different brand on the same platform and there's nothing wrong with that.

Besides, it's chevy/GMC that's just a rebadge and those are within a few dollars of each other. The Escalade has a lot of features standard that aren't even available as options on higher trim level Tahoe/Yukon.

Do a little research before commenting next time.

Seats are entirely different, sound system is entirely different, center console was completely redesigned, wood grain steering wheel with color matched leather was added. All the stuff you'd expect for a premium brand iteration of an existing platform.
