Is a manual BMW E34 535i a good first car?
That depends; are you in a LHD country?
(Europe or US)

Any BMW is a good car as long as you can afford to pay the GDP of Suriname for parts when everything breaks
>>17575766
Looks like my cousin from lebanon in there lol
It's a pretty good first car yeah

In a RHD country, Australia.

Damn, I heard that parts for this gen were cheap and easy to get?
>>17575781
They are, he's just being stupid
>>17575781
Stick to RHD cars like japs or aus, parts are way too expensive for BMW in aus.

Still driving my 00' 323i. Only had to replace like 5 sensors each costing around $10
idk, in my slav shithole every chad gets it so i guess that it is

E34 535 is the single most reliable bmw ever made and if I find one for a good price in manual I will buy it as a daily
>>17575766
Yes
the expensive parts things is a meme
>>17575791
Can confirm they're not. Junk yards, local mechanics and the internet keeps things cheap. The amount of cash I've saved by buying parts online is ridiculous.

I have an e36 and a e34 and the e34 has been dead nuts reliable since I've owned it( over a year) and the e36 has broken 3 times in 1 month. There you go. 328i and 540i
540i and 535i are fun cars
Well, it's a good car and I really like it. I had one in good condition, but unfortunately I had to sell it back in 2011. Now I just wish I could find one that isn't ruined by boy racers or that hasn't been turbo'd.

would an e28 535is be a good first?

2nded. Also takes well to turbo charging.
