I have been looking for a cheap fun car on craigslist for like a month but all I can find is pure shit. Someone with better knowledge of cars than me please find something I will be eternally grateful. Seriously the only good deal I have found so far is a decent 1.5k p71 that might be fun to do burnouts with.
heres my local craigslist: https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/

either rwd or awd coupe preferably would like to keep it under 5k but could be willing to spend more for the right car.
>>17568126
> still drivable, defiantly a great winter beater
could this ad be considered attempted murder?
>>17568166
kek, I sure as hell wouldn't want to drive it, also I hate the seller just because of his use of "defiantly".
>>17568093
Can you go to $10?
>>17568213
if its something that requires absolutely zero work done maybe
>>17568143
We have a winner. Enjoy your rust, leaky everything and shoddy electrics. They're great cars and a lot of fun once you whip them into shape.
>>17568220
Sorry I was wrong, you gotta go to 11 and be willing to drive 3 hours for it?
>>17568233
what do you have in mind?
>>17568229
looks cool yeah but im not exactly mechanically inclined so would it be worth it over a newer miata you think?
>>17568240
If there is no frame rot and you want to put a lot of time and money into it, they're skyrocketing in value. Not a good DD at all though, but very reliable once you work out all the kinks. A miata is better in every way, but going fast on leaf springs is its own kind of terrifying.

There's a 2005 Nissan 350Z in Le Mans Sunset about 35 miles outside Chicago at a BMW dealer listed at $10,977. 80,000 miles on it. Clean carfax. 2 previous owners who each drove it less than 6500 miles/yr. Clean car. Dealer just replaced brake pads and rotors.
>>17568277
*81,000 miles.
>>17568277
yo thats not a good deal tho
>>17568296
Okay

>RWD or AWD for 5k
Under normal circumstances, your choices are pretty much
>Miata
>MR2 of any generation
>FC (Although at that price it might be a total basket case)
>>17568337
Oh, or an FB, but those are even slower than a Miata NA
>>17568153
You're not going to find any good rwd or awd cars for under 5k unless you get REALLY lucky, like somebody moving and needs the car gone today. You can however find plenty of fwd cars for that price. The best you can hope for otherwise is a rusted piece of garbage that'll need hundreds if not thousands of dollars in repairs.
>>17568277
I found one with 60k less miles for 3k cheaper...

Yeah he's right about what his car is worth on the market. They're both worth right where they're supposed to be in their market. That being said, OP should buy that one if he wants a manual. Definitely. Close to him, too.
>>17568392
How is the tuning for the 350z? Seems like the engine has a lot of potential
>>17568370
Ty kind anon
Why not a mustang?
>Relatively reliable

Yes, I know there's a stigma around them, but the sn95 is dirt cheap, even the v8. That or a fox body is a lot of car for the money.

I would love you forever if you could find me a good Mach 1
>>17568536
You'll need 10k minimum for a mach 1. And even then it'll be a decent one given the age. Strong possibility it'll need work on top of that.
>>17568093
>>17568153
up it to 7k and keep looking you'll find what you want, but under 5k is going to make it difficult, hell at 7 you're going to have a rough time.
took me a few months to find the deal i wanted, ended up being $5,900
>>17568500
that looks really good
original paint too, telling by the front bumper sticker
>>17568093
>>17568349
OP, this is the way to go. Even if the seller won't budge on the price, it would be worth it to save up for it.
