Picture is not actually MY car, but it's the same model and everything. It is dying. I wanted your guys' opinion I guess on what cars I should be looking at.

A Dacia for 10k.

I should say I live in America, not sure if I can get that one here.

Toyota corolla iM. Starts at 18k msrp. Goes from a to b comfortably, good has mileage, and good reliability. Coworker just got one and I was pretty impressed for what it is.

What's wrong with your current one?
>>

Dacia?

Basically a Renault but even worse.
>>
>>17565116
Toyota Corolla iM.
Get it with the 6 speed manual
>>
>>17565116
Well, knowing nothing about what you need, I can tell you that mazda 3's are pretty good and even the most expensive version fits in your budget.
>>
>>17565116
>second gen US market Ford Escort
ah, nostalgia. My mom had a wagon when I was a little anon. I have a soft spot for those little shitboxes.

>>17565124
Dacia, Renault, Skoda, Seat, Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall, and Opel are not sold in America. Yes we do get Volkswagens, but they're all shoddily built in chicken coops in Mexico.
>>
>>17565401
I do too I don't want to get rid of it
>>
Corolla iM or base model Civic

Pic related if you want a commuter NEW.

If you want to have a fast and fun car 2017 Mustang ecoboost. You can get a good deal on the stangs since they are trying to get rid of the older model year versions.
>>
2017 Mitsubishi Mirage - 8-12k USD
2017 Ford Fiesta - 13-25K USD

that's about it
>>
>>17565230
Ok I found some not far away from me, those look good. I drove the fiesta but I can't find that specific one
>>
>>17565557
Do you have the 1.8 or 1.9 in it?

I have a 95 Escort with the 2.0 from a later model as my fun car, underneath all the Ford bloat is a pretty damn solid car.
>>
>>17565116
Fix it. It's still a good econobox. New cars cost way more to insure and have higher property taxes. It's not worth it. A civic for 3k is a good option if you must get something else.
>>
>>17565557
>I don't want to get rid of it
then don't. put money into making it better to meet your needs.
If you have the 1.9L, look into a 2.0L swap
if you want something better than that, look into the 1.8L swap, or the 2.0L Zetec swap.

Unless the reason is safety, there's a lot to upgrade it you can do for less money

>New
>Under $25,000
>Good
You get two.

That being said, my girlfriend is extremely pleased with her Mazda 3 despite it having shit visibility (luckily there is a backup camera). It gets up and moves decently. Much better than a Mazda 2, base Civic, Corolla iM, Versa, Mirage, or a Yaris will.

That being said if you want a car that's going to keep you on the road and you don't give a shit, I've seen Nissan Versas w/ manual transmissions go as low as 10-11K new.

the best car is a truck.

get an XL/XLT F150.

supposedly you can get a brand new one for 18k
>>
3k civic with tasteful mods
>>
>>17565116
>NEW car
that doesn't give much to work with, theres tons of great options currently available on the market. my personal favorite rn is the civic coupe SI and the ford STs. If you can narrow down on what you want in a car it'll be a lot easier to help you
