Why is that? They were doing great until axles started to grab the dirt too much. They are not good at propelling you once you scraping the dirt but if you stay above it they are great also pretty lightweight for their height. That's crucial for small cars.

We'll see how they fit. Gonna test fit before I buy. Since I work at a tire shop I pay 70% or sales price and no labor. So it's like $600 before tax on the coopers. The trucks a $1k work truck that will be used for camping with a dirtbike and a shell. And maybe driven to work once a week at most.

Agreed, I've been really happy with them. My Wrangler was my daily that saw occasional mild-moderate trail use for years. I had 33X10.5 KM2's on it before which lasted for 50k miles with decent tread remaining. Upgraded to the 35X12.5's and they're still going strong. The only downside to big tires is trying to keep them balanced.
